Shearing day

Description

Visiting Mas Casas on shearing day is a special occasion to see how shearers work and to discover the whole wool process, from the sheep to the end products (cushions, wool filled mattresses, felt objects, cloth pieces, …). At the end of the visit, children will have the opportunity to take part in an activity focused on wool.

About us

Mas Casas Cruïlles

Small-sized family farm located in the region of Empordà whose flock of sheep allows direct sale of lamb meat, wool, dairy products and natural cosmetics. Our visits and workshops show all the products and their manufacture.

- The whole visit is done on one level. There are spaces with paved floor and others with path. Toilets not adapted.

Access

From La Bisbal d’Empordà take the road towards Cruïlles, at the traffic lights follow the signs for Urbanització del Puigventós.

The entrance road starts in front of number 40 of Coll Blau street.
Promotion of the use of wool, a natural fibre that allows to make all kinds of decorative and useful products. Pets not allowed, except guide dogs.
