This mountain-ringed plain has been home to Bishops and shepherds, bandits and Lords, and the echo of their stories can still be heard.
Live a unique experience at the foot of Montsent mountain (more than 2,000 metres above sea level): accompany the shepherds who go and provide salt and health care to a flock of more than 5,000 sheep. During that morning of immersion in authentic shepherd life, you will enjoy wonderful landscapes and a delicious breakfast made with local products.
We work in order to recover the craftwork that gives value to Xisqueta wool by supporting the shepherds who preserve that sheep species. We buy their wool at a fair price, and we have created and formed a collective of artisans who transform it. We want to keep ancestral knowledge alive and adapt it to our contemporaneity. Each Xisqueta piece is the result of a unique craft, a beautiful natural territory and a recovered raw material, wool, which had been forgotten.
